Some of these races are ancient species native to Earth, hidden for millennia. Others arrived from the stars, drawn to Earth after the Contraction Event shattered the galaxy’s borders. All of them, for one reason or another, now fight for survival, power, and revenge on Bruna 8.
Once believed to be myth, Ogres were real, just hidden, living deep within Earth’s caves. They might have stayed there forever, but the chaos of the Contraction Event flushed them to the surface. What they found enraged them, polluted lands, poisoned skies, and no future for their kind. In their fury, they attacked undefended villages and cities, while humanity’s armies were too busy dealing with global collapse. The faction leaders, fearing the Ogres’ growing threat, hatched a plan. They manipulated the Ogres, convincing them that the "Disposables", the humans now fleeing to Bruna 8, were responsible for Earth’s destruction. Driven by a thirst for revenge, the Ogres were shipped to Bruna 8, ready to tear apart anyone in their path.
Beasts weren’t born they were built. Genetically modified in high-tech labs, these savage creatures were engineered for one purpose, bloodsport in the arena. Many were originally tortured pets and playthings of the Gold humans, locked in cages and forgotten. When a Disposable snuck into the holding pens on Bruna 8 and freed them, the Beasts turned on their former masters. Now, these fierce monsters roam Bruna 8, often fighting alongside the Disposables, not out of loyalty, but out of vengeance.
They were the original rulers of Bruna 8 and perhaps the galaxy itself. Modern-day Aliens descend from ancient colonizers who once built the titanic structures that still stand on Bruna 8. Their technology and knowledge surpass human understanding, but even they aren’t free. Stranded on Bruna 8 after the Contraction Event, they work under human faction leaders, forced to compete in Battle Blitz to earn access to the advanced alien tech that could finally send them home. Their skills, strategies, and strange abilities make them some of the most feared combatants in the arena.
Born in Earth’s labs, Reptars are the result of scientific overreach, where Earth’s rarest new mineral (Tistarite) was injected into ordinary insects. The result? Gigantic, armored, and dangerously intelligent insect-warriors. Faction leaders bankrolled the project, intending to unleash Reptars in the arena. Their strength, durability, and tactical instincts make them terrifying in battle and a living reminder of humanity’s obsession with playing god.
Discovered by accident, Glopz were first found clinging to the wreckage of a downed alien craft. A slimy pink substance, alien in origin, that mutated the moment it touched Bruna 8’s atmosphere. The slime grew, shaped itself, and evolved into creatures of all sizes, from 2 feet tall to towering 8-foot monsters. Despite their goofy appearance, Glopz are deceptively deadly, capable of reshaping their bodies, slipping through cracks, and devouring enemies from the inside out. Bruna 8 is now their home, and they will fight to protect it, whether they’re fighting for a faction or for themselves.
The pinnacle of human war machines, only 135 Death Robots were ever built. These towering, unstoppable killing machines are so powerful that a squad of 100 could decimate entire armies of millions. The faction leaders destroyed all blueprints after the final unit was assembled, making these machines priceless relics of pre-collapse Earth. Some were hoarded by the Gold Humans, others sold for astronomical sums, and all of them are walking nightmares in the arena, blending raw mechanical power with cold, calculating precision.
